ASHRAF S. HUSSEIN is a Professor of Scientific Computing Dr. Hussein was appointed to the Supreme Council of Egyptian Universities in 2005 to lead several countrywide projects funded by the World Bank and European Commission till 2010. In 2010, he established the Electronic and Knowledge Services Center at the Supreme Council of Egyptian Universities to support digital transformation in higher education and provide e-services to the stake to the stakeholders of government and private universities. From 2013 to 2019, Dr. Hussein had a secondment to the headquarters of the Arab Open University, the sole agent of the Open University, United Kingdom, to serve as a Dean of Engineering and Computing, then as a Vice President for Information and Education Technology. In 2020, Dr. Hussein was appointed as the founding President of King Salman International University to lead the establishment of the university as a state of the art fourth generation national university in South Sinai, Egypt. Dr. Hussein has authored more than 100 published scientific papers and issued patents.
