Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag has been President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport - one of the specialized Arab organizations of the League of Arab States - since October 2011 until now. Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel-Ghaffar obtained a Ph.D. in the field of electrical engineering, specializing in computer engineering, from George Washington University in 1989. Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel-Ghaffar has a long experience of about 39 years in the fields of electrical engineering, research and advanced technology. Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar held many positions and responsibilities; Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar has many researches published in specialized international scientific journals such as the International Journal of Computer Science and Network Security. Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar enjoys membership in many international bodies and organizations, such as the International Maritime Organization, the World Maritime University, the Association of Arab Universities, the International Association of Maritime Universities, the International Maritime Transport Forum, and the Higher Technical Committee for the establishment of the Arab Data Bank for the transport sector in the League of Arab States. - The Head of the League of Arab States official Delegation, IMO Council, (United Nation), London, UK, November 2011 – Now.
